After being drenched in summer sun and later heavy rain the gardens at Emlagh have really to begun to blossom. The borders are a real show of pinks, purples, whites and blues.
On entering the grounds the hydrangeas really steal the show with their rich deep pink hues which turn almost purple around the edges. These show stopping colours provide the perfect backdrop for a floral arrangement inside the house and no ordinary vessel will enhance these colours more then our ornate silver champagne buckets, providing a very regal setting for these beautiful blooms.
Today Gráinne has been busy filling a basket with an array of colourful blooms from the gardens.
Not content with just our pink Hydrangeas we often steal away some blue ones from our sister property Waters Edge. The blue compliments our pinks wonderfully and makes a daring colourful splash in reception reminding us in those typically soft Irish days that the sun drenched days in the garden will come again.
